Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP) Operations & Maintenance

This Certification Training is relevant to those who have concerns about water or wastewater treatment and management, operation/maintenance of wastewater treatment plant, and even to those who are still considering a water or wastewater treatment and/or management project. The Course was devised - and continues to be improved/updated - in response to the need for a training course that considers new developments in the environment field and in Philippine environmental regulations especially on water and wastewater, and, that could serve as a basis for a Certification Process for WTP Operators and for other practitioners to establish them as qualified professionals in their area of expertise.
This latest (2009) version considers the training needs not only of those involved in the actual operations of wastewater treatment facilities, but also of various other practitioners involved in (a) assessing wastewater quality to assure compliance with environmental regulations, and, (b) evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of Wastewater Treatment Plants. These practitioners we refer to be would such as but not limited to:
1. Those directly involved in regular activities pertaining to wastewater quality monitoring such as Environmental Managers/Engineers, Pollution Control Officers, Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations Teamleader and Operators, and,
2. Those involved in intermittent activities pertaining to wastewater quality monitoring such as members of Multi-Partite Monitoring Teams (MMTs), EMS Conformance Monitoring and/or Audit Teams, Regulatory Compliance Monitoring Teams
The Certification Training Course provides prospective participants the option to attend only specific days, depending on their specific requirements for knowledge enhancement, as this latest version covers the following Modules: Day 1 - Wastewater Quality Monitoring, Day 2 - Operation of Physico-Chemical Treatment Process Types of WTPs, Day 3 - Operation of Biological Treatment Process Types of WTPs, Day 4 - Operations Supervision/Management of Wastewater Treatment & WTPs. The training course allows the participant to obtain a Certificate of Attendance pertaining to each Module. The Certificate of Attendance is issued only to those who attended the Module or the complete Training Course without any absences. A Certificate of Completion is also issued to those who have passed the relevant certification examination.
